Set the hinges in the pot and boil for 15 20 minutes.

After it is dry reinstall the hardware on the door.

The door may stick tight enough to warrant yanking to open it or shoving to securely close it.
Then turn the hinges over if you re painting both sides and spray the other side.
Spray hardware with metallic primer according to manufacturer s directions.
To ensure no fingerprints are left in the paint allow the hardware to dry for 24 hours.
Remove old paint from the hardware.
