After it is dry reinstall the hardware on the door. Lift the hinges out with tongs and wear gloves as you scrape and buff off all the paint. The door may stick tight enough to warrant yanking to open it or shoving to securely close it. Then turn the hinges over if you re painting both sides and spray the other side.

Spray hardware with metallic primer according to manufacturer s directions. To ensure no fingerprints are left in the paint allow the hardware to dry for 24 hours. Remove old paint from the hardware.
